Iced Latte + Hot Latte with Whipped Cream

Ingredients for Iced Latte

  • 1/4 cup Coffee Decoction
  • 1/4 cup Oat milk
  • 1/2 cup Coconut Milk
  • 2 drops Vanilla Essence
  • 4 to 5 Ice Cubes
  • Sweetener as per preference

Put everything together in a blender, blend for roughly 30 seconds, pour it into a glass and that’s it!

To make it fancy, you can garnish it with chocolate chips, sprinkle cocoa powder on top or even add some chocolate syrup!

If you don’t have store-bought varieties, don’t hesitate to make your own plant-based milks! Oat milk can be made in literally 3 minutes (check out the recipe here), and coconut milk takes just a bit longer but is just as easy to make (use the recipe here).

Ingredients for Hot Latte

  • 1/4 cup Coffee Decoction
  • 1/2 cup Soya Milk
  • 1/4 cup Cashew Milk
  • Sweetener as per preference

Transfer the two milks into the saucepan. Put the heat up to medium and stir constantly to prevent the milk from sticking to the bottom of the pan.

When the combination begins to heat up, set about 2 tablespoons aside in a cup.

Add the decoction and sweetener to the milk combination and continue stirring.

Once the latte is hot (it shouldn’t boil, but you should see the steam rising at the edges) take it off the heat. Plant based milks can split at higher temperatures, so heat them to the point where it is sippable. If you accidentally overheat it and it separates, it’s still drinkable!

Transfer the hot coffee into the cup.

Use a milk frother or a hand whisk to create a nice foam from the milk previously set aside, and pour this on top of your latte.

Top it all off with some cocoa sprinkles, cocoa powder, cinnamon…
